This is My Truth: Tell Me Yours

I am writing this short article by way of a reply to Green Anarchist and The Stewart Home Society, both of which have quite libellously called me, or insinuated that I am, some kind of racist, fascist or anti-Semite. I emphatically declare my innocence and totally reject their accusations entirely. I am not a racist, am strongly anti-fascist and totally opposed to any and all manifestations of so-called anti-Semitism.

As a Christian I believe that all people - whatever their colour, creed or class - are made in the image of God and so any expression of racism, sexism or religious bigotry, etc., is a diminishment of the intrinsic worth and dignity of a human being bearing the divine image. I must make it clear that although I have no personal animosity towards either GA or Stewart Home and do not seek confrontation with them, I must make the following remarks.

Stewart Home’s attacks on me (in a leaflet entitled ‘Anarcho-Fascists Attempt To Organise’) for expressing some concern that "our children grow up aping imported rap stars from the USA" [Alternative Green, Issue 21, Autumn 1999] is quite pathetic as he deliberately takes what I said completely out of context, manipulating the text to confirm his own prejudices as can be satisfactorily concluded by anyone who cares to take the time to read the article in its entirety and context. Since when has Home been the spokesperson for Black people? My cement was but an indirect reference to the glorification of violence, drugs, sexism and homophobia portrayed in the ‘gangsta’ rap scene, but out of respect for such liberal and sensitive souls like Home I have omitted the offending word "Black" from the article on my website Albion Awake. But of course the PC police and other such self-appointed witch-hunters are never pleased or satisfied and of course need to find and make enemies and court controversy to consolidate their own weak position and affirm themselves at another’s expense, being merely lefty careerists and simple self-publicists).

Green Anarchist stoops even lower than Home and actually put words in my mouth and quote me as saying things I never said in my life, such as purging my website of volkisch-nationalist content as I felt my readers "weren’t ready for it yet" [Green Anarchist, Spring 2000] and that I promote "both nationalism and third positionism" [Green Anarchist, Summer 2000]. They even have the nerve to put these statements in italics to suggest a direct quotation when, in fact, they are a direct fabrication and at the very best a rather opportunistic way of being very economic with the truth. This is merely designed to mislead and purposely misinterpret and smear me as holding beliefs I do not. I do not personally promote volkisch nationalism or third positionism. As I stated in my letter to them (which obviously they didn’t have the integrity or honesty to publish), I discuss and research terms and ideas like ‘nationalism’ and ‘third positionism’ only in the context and from the perspective that the situationist Hakim Bey does in his brilliant book, ‘Millennium’. Green Anarchist merely copies the mainstream media with its dirty tricks and pompous, self-congratulative and pontificating party line being almost puritanical in its self-righteousness (I beg their pardon for not asking their permission to participate in the Brighton Anarchist Heretics Fair). The dynamics of GA are akin to the Monty Python film, ‘Life of Brian’, a must-see for all readers of GA!

Sadly, no doubt other individuals and organisations may wish to jump on the bandwagon, to which I reply that I have no time to engage in a pointless, fruitless game of exchanging polemics. It’s very exhausting and why should one waste time and effort in simply having to explain and justify oneself all the time? In future I will simply ignore such personal attacks, for I don’t mind being condemned for what I DO believe, but I will not be condemned for what I DON’T believe, NEVER HAVE believed and NEVER WILL believe!
